Hello and welcome to DAEMUN III.

Since 2024, with the inaugural DAEMUN, our club members have worked tirelessly to bring the Model United Nations experience to our students. From researching and debating about global issues to lobbying and merging ideas, students are plunged into the world of global diplomacy.

How do countries work together to reach consensus? How do we, as global citizens, find ways to use communication to bring about peace and resolution? These are the questions that you will be tasked with during DAEMUN III. I hope to see each and every one of you step on the podium and make your mark.

I would also like to show my great appreciation for the DAEMUN III secretariats and MUN Club, without whom none of this would have been possible.

Honorable delegates and esteemed guests,

My name is Suhyeon Lee, and I am a senior at Qingdao Daewon School. It is my great honor to welcome you to DAEMUN III as Secretary-General.

Over the past few months, our Secretariat has done its utmost to prepare a meaningful and memorable Model United Nations experience. With that work behind us, we are excited to welcome passionate and thoughtful delegates who are ready to challenge themselves and engage in international discourse.

This year’s theme, From Vulnerability to Voice, embodies the importance of every individual voice. To that end, we sincerely hope that DAEMUN will go beyond a forum for discussion and become a valuable opportunity for meaningful learning and personal growth — a place where everyone can speak up and be heard.

Hello,

I’m Junwon Kim, a senior at Qingdao Daewon School. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to lead the Technology Department this year.

Our team is committed to supporting every delegate and participant through a cloud system built specifically for this conference. It is designed to streamline communication, simplify document sharing, and keep every session running smoothly.

We believe a well-built technical foundation lets delegates focus on what actually matters — debate and diplomacy — rather than on logistics. Our team will keep working behind the scenes so that DAEMUN III runs without a hitch.

We look forward to welcoming and supporting all of you at DAEMUN III!

Hi everyone, welcome to DAEMUN III!

I’m Minchan Kim, a senior at Qingdao Daewon School, and I’m really happy to be part of the Technology Department this year.

You won’t see us at the podium — we’re the ones working quietly in the background to build and run the DAEMUN III website, making sure everything from committee information to registration is just a click away. It isn’t the flashiest job, but I love it; I’ve always liked figuring out how to make things work smoothly for other people.

Getting to shape how delegates experience DAEMUN III before the conference even starts has been genuinely rewarding, and I hope it makes your journey a little easier too.

Can’t wait to see you all at DAEMUN III!

Model United Nations brings students together to deepen their understanding of international relations, the problems the world faces, and the solutions available to it. This conference is far more than committee sessions and resolutions. It is a space for ideas to be challenged, perspectives to be shared, and leadership to be developed.

Everyone here — delegate, chair, admin, and press member — plays a critical role in creating a productive environment for debate.
